Lindsay Lohan

The director of a forthcoming biopic of Charles Manson, has confirmed that Lindsay Lohan has been offered the role of Sharon Tate.

The actress is in negotiations to play the pregnant pin-up, who was killed by Manson and his followers, according to Tyler Shields.

Tate was married to director Roman Polanski at the time of his death in 1969.

Shields relies on paper signed Lohan controversial EW.com saying, “We have worked together many times, many years. She asked me in the eyes of a dreamer … and I said, ‘Oh, you should Sharon Tate. And she was like, ‘That would be awesome. ”

But Lohan might have to spend on paper – if convicted to serve time in jail after allegedly violating probation for stealing a necklace from a jewelry store in Venice, California.

The director hopes to begin filming on July 15 – one week before the date of the actress next hearing in the ongoing legal drama.

Shields says, “We have to shoot the film this year so I do not know. We will have to cross that bridge when we get there. Hopefully this is not the case.”
